The other day my baby sister Abigail (ok, she’s 18…but still a baby to me) texted me and said, “I’m a Ginger now!” At the time, I totally played it off like I knew exactly what she was talking about. I totally did not. As it turns out it meant she dyed her hair red(ish). She looks adorable, as usual.
Ginger Cookies
Spaghetti with Spicy Arugula and Toasted Walnuts
It’s been cold, dark and rainy here in sunny California.
I love it. Cannot get enough of it. This is perfect holiday weather. If it can’t snow, this is the next best thing. I am (finally) not complaining about the weather. Take note. This is me, not complaining. Told ya I was going to start complaining less :)
Perfect weather to whip up a bowl of pasta for lunch. It’s cozy eats. You’ll like it. It’s a little nutty, a little sweet, it has a kick of spice, lots of garlic and butter and it’s all nestled into a warm nest of al dente pasta. It’s kind of healthy-ish…minus all the butter and extra virgin olive oil of course. The goal is to fill your belly with a perfect match to this blustery weather. It did the trick for me, I hope it will have the same warming effect for you.
Grilled Veggie Sandwich
There aren’t many meals where I end saying, “This could turn me vegetarian.”
This sandwich did.
I, like my husband, am a meat and potatoes kinda person. I do, however, enjoy a veggie sandwich from time to time. It makes me feel less…carnivorous.
