Tuna and Green Pea Casserole

6I didn’t grow up eating casseroles. I guess we just weren’t that family. I don’t think either of my parents ever made a casserole for us. I can’t really think of what they made actually.
My dad is Sicilian. He makes Italian food. Pastas. My mom is mixies. A little English, a little Swedish, a little Finnish, a little Welsh that kinda stuff. I don’t really think my mom had a specific genre of cooking. She cooked everything. She is a fantastic cook by the way. No casseroles though.

See Ya!

I’m leaving to see my baby brother and sister graduate.
101-08-04 121 I can’t even believe the words I just wrote. Graduating High School? Seriously?! When in the heck did they grow up? I feel old. I feel really old.

Who’s Your Daddy?

Happy Father’s Day to the all the Papas out there.
5From me, on behalf of all of us, we love and appreciate you.

Cinnamon-Raisin Almond Butter

21I love peanut butter. A lot of people I’ve noticed, mostly kids it seems, are allergic to it though. That’s annoying for me, who wishes to have a jar of it with her at all times for quick snacking. I don’t really want to send any children into anaphylactic shock though. Well, maybe some really whiny ones…what? Did I just say that? I’m a nanny, that’s inappropriate. I take it back…..ish.

Bombay Burgers

burgerI’m so tired of making myself choose chicken over beef. Beef is delicious. I’m sorry to the vegetarians out there, you are seriously missing out. Yes, the process is sickening, I won’t deny that, but a juicy, all-beef burger is soooo good.

wordless wednesday.

Roasted Asparagus and Leek Soup

1I’ve been slightly obsessed with asparagus lately. Now I’m feelin’ the leeks as well. Blame it on the Farmer’s Market! Everything has been looking so great lately.
