Thank you to all those who fought and are fighting to protect our freedom. Thank you for protecting everything that is important to me. Thank you for all of the hard work. Thank you for risking your life, for me, for us. We thank you.
Americans have a pretty sweet life. We have so much, yet complain about everything all the time. We complain about the President. He isn’t doing enough, he’s doing it wrong. He should change this and not that. We complain about health insurance. We complain about taxes. We complain about our roads and highways. We complain that the government isn’t doing enough to protect us.
We have it so good. We have so much. We have so many freedoms and so many blessings as a country. Why do we complain so much? I am so thankful we have a functioning government that takes care of us. I can’t believe what citizens of other countries must be feeling when they see our thriving country. They must be so jealous. We have it so good. We have so much. Why do we always complain about everything? We are so spoiled. Days like today help us remember that hundreds of thousands of people are working every day to keep our standard of living as awesome as it is. It’s kind of like getting alimony. Those in the armed forces are basically paying us alimony every day they show up to work. I don’t want my life to change. I am so thankful someone is looking out to maintain my quality of living. It’s true.
I love America. I love our freedom. I love that I have health insurance. I love that we have great highways. I love that I have running water. I love electricity. I love indoor plumbing. I love my stove. I love refrigeration. I love that I have a working car. I love the internet. I love that we aren’t Communists. I love that we can vote for who want to run the country. I love the Armed Forces. I love that we have so many branches specifically designed to protect me. I love that I haven’t been drafted. I don’t think I have it in me. I can barely do a push up.
Thank you, America, for being awesome. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Thank you to the ladies and the gents putting themselves in the line of fire for me. You’re kind of totally awesome. We recognize your hard work.
Please don’t let today be the only day we remember their hard work…and let’s all stop complaining so much. We really are a blessed country. Admit it, we are.
