Perfectly Poached Eggs

I’m not a really a huge egg person, I tend to go for the sweeter options when it comes to breakfast. I go the pancakes or french toast route. When it comes to a runny poached egg, however, I’m all over that.
My mom used to have this fun egg poaching contraption that for special occasions she would whip out and we would all enjoy some delicious, perfectly prepared, poached eggs. It was certainly more work that frying or scrambling, which I assume is why we didn’t see that fun egg holder very often. In a way, I’m glad it went down that way. Kept it special, like a treat almost.

Even the title is delicious sounding, I know. Wait until you make it…it’s ridiculous how good it is.
If you’re looking for a “knock your socks off” kind of dessert, look no further. If you’re looking for something with only a slight lemon flavor, keep looking. This is sunshine in a cake. It’s so bright and cheery, it makes you smile.

The Habit

I’m full.
I wanted a burger and knew it would be a great excuse to get another entry for my burger quest. We’ve tried a couple of times to go here, but it seemed like something always got in our way.

Blueberry and Banana Buttermilk Pancakes with Honey-Vanilla Butter

Yum. That’s what I think when I read that.
I love love love love love pancakes. I can eat them morning, noon or night. I love blueberry pancakes and I love banana pancakes, why not perform my very own mash-up and create the ultimate pancake!!!
These were awesome. I would like to fill my freezer with them so they will always be available.
Next morning you want a treat, make these, they were so velvety and luxurious.
Great, now I’m hungry again.
