My Brother’s Famous Pumpkin Bread

This is a secret family recipe, so don’t tell anyone I told you.
My brother came home with a Thanksgiving day card for our mom when he was in pre-school, and this recipe was inside. It has been in our family now for about 30 years. We all make it every year, and every year we’re all amazed at how simple, yet wonderful it is.

Balsamic Honey Pulled Pork Sliders

This is a crock pot meal. My thoughts on the crock pot are, “why not?" It offers you a great slow cooked meal and you don’t have to babysit it. No lifting the pot every 30 minutes to stir or re-glaze, it’s a “set it and forget it situation.” I should be using it more often.
The problem is a love to stir, taste and re-season, all the things you’re not allowed to do when you use the slow cooker. Every time you lift the lid, you need to add an additional 30 minutes to the cooking time.

Love…get some.

I know a lot of people aren’t crazy about Valentine’s Day. I get that, I do. I, however, am not one of those people. I love having a day devoted to love. Going all out to show your love they’re loved is fun. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I also feel that every day should be like Valentine’s Day. We shouldn’t need a day to force us to show our loved ones we care. I get that too.
I am blessed with a family that loves to show they love. I am even more blessed to have a husband who isn’t afraid to show love. I feel very loved. I hope you do as well.

Classic Burger

We used to live right down the road from here so we put it in the running. We haven’t been here in about 3 years or so. We had only gone there a couple of times when we lived near it, but we figured why not?

We got there between lunch and dinner (around 4:30ish) and no one was there. I honestly didn’t think they were open as I did not see even one car in the parking lot.
