Celebrities

I don’t get too crazy when it comes to celebrities. Yes, I have a subscription to People Magazine, but that’s only because we don’t have cable so I can’t watch TV and get the inside scoop on what’s going on in the world, celebrity or otherwise. Okay, I may or may not have known about “Earl” until it was half way over (maybe less People Magazine and more LA Times perhaps). Really though, how else would I know who adopted another baby from a third world country? Or who is getting divorced, again? Or what did January Jones wear to the Emmy’s?

I don’t usually care about that stuff, but it’s nice to read about it from time to time in a magazine. I like to have something to add to the conversation when I talk to my other Orange County girlfriends. “I met Owen Wilson in a dive bar outside of Hollywood a few years ago. That was kind of neat.” Most people aren’t terribly impressed by that though.

The point of all of this blabber is to say I am excited about meeting a celebrity. Well, not a celebrity to most people, but to me, a celebrity.

Bakerella is having a book signing at South Coast Plaza. That’s my mall. It would be rude if I didn’t go, right? Okay, I’m making up reasons now. It’s really just because I want to and since I don’t currently have a job, I have the extra time on a Monday at 12 o’clock in the afternoon to go (insert loser cough here…).

She’s doing a book signing tour for her new book Cake Pops. If you also are unemployed and have time to go to a book signing in the middle of the day during the work week, go!

Maybe my time would be better spent finding a job…nah.
